Opportunity for Runners: July 21 is a Bears Ears Gathering Prayer Run at 6 am. This will be 5.3 miles west of Bluff at the Lower Butler Wash Turn-off. There is also a 5K Run/Walk at Bears Ears on July 23 at 7 am. (Cross Country team members may count one or both as part of their summer mileage!)

The Huntsman Cancer Institute at the University of Utah and the Herbert Irving Cancer Center at Columbia University are working together to offer scholars a FREE virtual summer learning experience called Summer Enrichment Month. Our 3-week Book Club ended last week. Scholars read 1,354 pages for about 355,074-words. What are you reading? Scholars got books at the end of school, including one called In the Footsteps of Crazy Horse. In this book, a Lakota boy embarks on a journey with his grandfather to learn more about his Lakota heritage. Check it out OR read the book together!

USU Montezuma Creek Tour and Info Day is Wednesday, June 14, from 11 am-3 pm. Navajo tacos will be served and people will get information about GED, Certifications, Childcare assistance, and mentoring/tutoring! The main goal of this event is to inform people about adult-ed services, scholarships, childcare assistance, summer youth employment services, and counseling services.
